Bharat Soka Gakkai, in collaboration with Miranda House College, inaugurated the ‘Dr. Daisaku Ikeda Corner: Fostering Peace Culture, Education, and Sustainability’ in the college library. This dedicated space houses SGI Founding President Mr. Daisaku Ikeda’s engaging and enlightening dialogues with world leaders.

The air buzzed with energy as students welcomed the SGI delegation. Professor Bijayalaxmi Nanda, Principal of Miranda House, expressed deep appreciation for this meaningful initiative, calling it a beacon of wisdom that nurtures peace, global citizenship, and sustainability. She highlighted President Ikeda’s belief in empowering youth and how it aligns with Miranda House’s mission.

BSG Chairperson Mr. Vishesh Gupta commended Miranda House for shaping changemakers. He introduced Soka University’s guiding question—”For what purpose should one cultivate wisdom?”—urging students to use knowledge for societal good.

SGI General Director Mr. Yoshiki Tanigawa reflected on Miranda House’s legacy of empowering women and setting bold aspirations, emphasizing how deeply SGI values the opportunity to work with such an esteemed institution. During a lively Q&A, students explored Soka University’s student-first approach, global citizenship mission, and its commitment to building inclusive spaces. Mr. Tanigawa encouraged the students to pursue their dreams with courage and foster strong friendships.

‘Dr. Daisaku Ikeda Corner’ is now set to reach out to countless young students, year after year, and provide time-tested wisdom on creating a peaceful, harmonious and sustainable world.
