BSG proudly participated in Miranda House’s Sustainability Conclave, focusing on youth leadership for realizing SDGs by 2030. This impactful event brought together students, experts, and thought leaders to discuss innovative solutions and take collective action for a sustainable future.

Speaker Insights

The event started with a keynote address by Prof. Bijayalaxmi Nanda, Principal, Miranda House, whose efforts and passionate interest in holding the conclave were truly admirable.

The conclave followed with other speakers sharing their unique experiences and insights on sustainability and how youth can be the drivers of this movement.

Chief Guest, Shri Harsh Malhotra, Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs & Minister of State in the Ministry of Road, Transport, and Highways emphasized citizen-led action as vital for sustainability, urging individuals to take ownership and initiative.

Mr. Vishesh Gupta, Chairperson, Bharat Soka Gakkai, highlighted BSG’s commitment to nurturing youth leaders for sustainability. To give an example, he talked about SDG Club members leading plantation drives and vermicomposting initiatives.

Ms. Jaya Rao, Head of External Relations, Media and Sustainability, Bharat Soka Gakkai stressed the crucial need of translating sustainability from theory into practice, making it a tangible and living reality.

BSG signed the MoU for the formation of BSG’s SDG Club in Miranda House

BSG is happy to form its SDG Club in Miranda House.

With the formation of the SDG Club, BSG will work as a knowledge partner to empower the Club members to drive sustainability initiatives in their college and community.
