J J International School, Anand, hosted the 137th SOHA Exhibition. This SOHA saw an impressive turnout, with around 250 parents and students attending, eager to engage with the thought-provoking displays.
The way the 25 student volunteers explained the SOHA panels, one thing was made clear: the youth have sharp ideas and a strong passion to lead change and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. The parents and teachers who attended the exhibition were deeply moved and proud to witness the students’ eloquence and depth of knowledge.
The exhibition received high praise from Ms. Trapti Gupta, Chairperson and Managing Director of J J International School, as well as from the Principal, Mrs. Debjani Lahiri. Both expressed their admiration for the students’ efforts and the exhibition’s focus on empowering the youth to take action. Ms. Gupta, in particular, emphasized the importance of such initiatives and expressed her desire to establish an SDG club at the school to further encourage students to take proactive steps in addressing global challenges.
Students left the exhibition with a renewed sense of purpose. One student reflected, “Today I learned that this is the time to take action and talk less because our actions can save our Earth.” Another student shared, “Visiting the exhibition was a wonderful experience. I would like to come again for more knowledge! It was the best experience to learn.” Another profound takeaway was a shift in perspective towards the SDGs: “It made me think about SDGs in everyday life… Now my view on SDGs has completely changed. I need to be a nature supporter.”
Parents also had positive feedback, with one commenting, “Excellent exhibition, creating awareness amongst the society… taking steps to protect our Earth.” Another noted, “The students explained everything in detail and provided examples of how we can stand as ONE and impact people in society.”
Inspired by SOHA, the school is absolutely determined to turn ideas into action, ensuring that the future is in capable, passionate hands.
