Moti Ram Arya Modern Public (MRAMP) School, nestled in Sector 7, Panchkula, emerged as a catalyst for igniting a sustainable revolution, propelling the region towards the SDGs. As part of its Hub of Learning initiative, the school proudly hosted a series of SOHAs — numbers 139 to 144 — infusing the local educational landscape with a profound commitment to environmental stewardship.

SOHA Takes Root in Panchkula

Joined by the neighbouring schools— Bhawan Vidyalaya, sec 15; Jainendra Public School, sec 2; Blue Bird School, sec 16; D.C. Model Senior Secondary School, sec 7; and D.A.V. School, Surajpur— SOHA at MRAMP blossomed into a harmonious alliance for sustainability.

This collective effort underscored a fundamental truth: sustainability is inherently collaborative. Just as diverse ecosystems thrive on interdependence, so does the pursuit of a greener future. By uniting their resources and expertise, these schools created a powerful synergy that amplified their impact on the community.

Students sung a beautiful song to welcome attendees as the program commenced, setting a harmonious tone for the day. Principal Dr. Ritu Mago’s inspiring address painted a vivid portrait of the school’s legacy and its unwavering dedication to fostering holistic development. Talking about BSG, she emphasized the organization’s pivotal role in sensitizing the youth towards sustainable development.

A ceremonial lighting of the lamp inaugurated the exhibition. Student volunteers, brimming with enthusiasm, unveiled 25 captivating panels that illuminated the intricate facets of sustainable living.

Approximately 100 eager students from neighboring schools, accompanied by their mentors, descended upon the exhibition. Their eyes sparkled with curiosity as they delved into the informative displays. SOHA ignited a fire within each of these young minds, inspiring them to become champions of change.

By mobilizing the youth of Panchkula through these SOHAs, a powerful movement for sustainability has been initiated. It is through their actions—be it reducing waste, conserving water, or advocating for renewable energy—that Panchkula can truly transform into a model of sustainable living.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants, guests, and partners whose collective efforts transformed this event into a resounding triumph. Together, we have sown the seeds of a sustainable future, and we eagerly anticipate the blossoming of these seeds into a verdant reality.
