The ultimate goal of the Bharat Soka Gakkai is to establish a peaceful world. BSG’s activities typically focus on public education and awareness-raising on the themes of peace, sustainability and human rights.
Some of the activities for peace initiated by BSG include symposiums & webinars, peace exhibitions, women’s peace forums, peace webinars, peace conclaves, tree plantation drives, and literacy programs.
In the event of natural disasters in the country, BSG is often active in humanitarian relief, such as in response to the Chennai floods in 2015, the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004, and the Gujarat earthquake in 2001, among others.
Since the early 2000s, BSG has taken exhibitions across various educational institutes of India with powerful messages about peace, human rights, power of one individual, and building a culture of peace and sustainability.
